Luigi Mangione is the suspect in the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson. UnitedHealthcare is the largest health insurance provider in the United States, and has come under controversy for denying treatment and coverage for patients. Following his arrest, a wave of social media support emerged, with many users portraying Mangione as a "modern-day hero."

For the purposes of this debate Santa Claus (also known as Father Christmas or Saint Nicholas) is a mythical creature who lives on the North Pole and delivers gifts (or coal) to the world's children every Christmas Eve, based on his assessment of their deeds and morality throughout the year. Santa's manufacturing facilities are operated by elves, who spend all year making various toys and gifts, maintaining Santa's sleigh and tending to his reindeer in order for Santa to complete his yearly trip. You are an average teenager living in the near future. You have just discovered that you are a mutant: a human being with a genetic mutation called the KP-gene, which causes superhuman powers that manifest at puberty. Your superhuman powers have just manifested – though, because they are new to you, you do not know how to control them yet. Mutants are an oppressed minority who are hated, feared, and despised by humanity. A group of older mutants has found you and offered to take you to a school for young mutants, where they promise you will be safe from harm and taught to control your powers. If you go with them, you will have to hide your powers from your family or risk being disowned. Alternatively, you saw on the news that a cure has been discovered to rid mutants of their powers. This cure is being offered for free to any mutant who wishes to take it.

An Isekai is a genre of anime where the main character (MC) is sent to a fantasy world to live out the rest of their lives, likely with no means of returning. The rules of these worlds vary immensely (some have magic, some are just 1400's Europe) and the MC will not know where they'll end up. The MC will face normal hardships throughout their new life and will have no forms of "plot armor". Being Isekai'ed is a colloquial term which refers to "to be sent to a fantasy world".

The terms ‘Support’ and ‘Carry’ originates from video games. In these games, ‘Supports’ are supposed to provide utility (heals, protection, aura effects) to aid their carry in fights or assists in getting objectives and win the game. They usually deal the least damage in the game. ‘Carries’ are meant to win the game for the team by earning resources (gold, items, levels) enough to deal the most damage and 'carry' their team to victory. The concept can also be applied to life.
